Ms. Lyte graduated from Binghamton University in 2014. She then attended Rutgers Law School and graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Lyte served as the Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter and worked in the Rutgers Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic. She also completed internships with the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security and with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s office. Following law school, Ms. Lyte served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin Shanahan, Presiding Judge – Criminal Division, Superior Court of New Jersey, Somerset County.
Ms. Lyte previously worked as a litigation and trial attorney for a defense firm based in Middlesex County and has significant experience defending business owners, property owners, homeowners, and insurance companies in a wide range of personal injury claims arising from general liability, premises liability, slip and fall, auto liability, and insurance coverage disputes. On the criminal law side, Ms. Lyte has handled the prosecution and defense of a variety of municipal matters, including traffic offenses and DUIs/DWIs.
Ms. Lyte is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.
